PSNNC Urban Room Ribbon Cutting!
After many months of engagement, designing, planning, constructing, painting, sweating, and smiling, the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center launched its new Urban Room redesign and opened its door to the community on March 6!
Executive Director Adriana Ojeda-Joslyn led the show as many community partners were in attendance to witness the unveiling, including those from Worcester Common Ground, the City of Worcester and Mass Development TDI Fellow Ivette Olmeda. Mass Development supported the redesign and construction through a TDI Equity Grant. Penn Ruderman designed the new space and The Future of Small Cities Institute helped to envision the project and build a Community Map Table—but this was very much a collective effort. The new space will be a flexible, dynamic, welcoming center for gathering, tele-health, youth mentorship, art-making, support, and development.
