Who are cities designed for?
How can we make our cities livable and sustainable for people of all backgrounds and experiences? We know that density and diversity enable creative cross-pollination and other benefits, yet cities continue seeing contentious debates over how to define appropriate development.
What strategies for inclusive development can we promote in order to create enriching spaces for everyone? Getting more involved in civic innovation and urban life can shift how we relate to each other across racial and class lines.
We’ll hear about local case studies and learn from a panel of regional experts who engage with questions of social resources and livable places every day.
This event is presented by TAP, Inc. TAP fosters inclusive and sustainable community development in the Capital Region by making architectural, planning, and design services affordable to low and moderate income individuals and other non-profit agencies who serve them.
